Q:What did you like or dislike about your previous job?
When describing your previous role, highlight the top positive aspects and what you learned from them. The could be about the working environment, the team, the manager or the subject of the work. You can highlight what were some expectations that were met and perhaps some expectations that are not being met that lead you to want to leave the organization. Answer this without bad mouthing the previous company, but keep it strictly about what you want and what you are not getting. Bonus points for adding how the company you are applying for will be able to satisfy those needs.
I think some of my initial expectations were met perfectly; I wanted a very fast paced environment where I would have a broad exposure to a lot of projects. Now I'm looking for a role that allows me to own the projects front-to-end, which the firm cannot provide. I think I can find such opportunities as project manager in your company.
